titivations

There's a mini production line taking shape at my place, beads, buttons, puffs...all manner of titivations. Fiddly? Well yes but in a good way. Some of the silk pieces here have found their way onto this which is now finished, looks amazing and will be making  an appearance on here tomorrow.

Later today I am going to scour my image files for more button inspiration. Do you remember my button cloth video? I'm aiming for something similar....but first I need more buttons, more beads, more pretty little trinkets.

I made buttons for this, for one edge. I'm getting carried away because I'm going to extend it later today, add more of the Liberty cloth. You can't have too much of a good thing right? Applique circles have been added too with bullion fences part way round, circling the outside. I say fences because that's what they remind me of, little white picket fences.

So the ironing board is going up, a Liberty strip to add here along with cloth, lace and paper to piece which means  more sampling can happen for this...I'm excited....

I'm back properly now after my quick pit stop last Wednesday. Last week is consigned to the refuse tip of the past, a waste of time, zero achievement, lots of irrelevance and huge amounts of frustration. Never mind, it could be worse.

You may also note the lack of a newsletter. Basically there is a lack of news. That could be addressed in the coming weeks, I will keep you posted.

Today there are titivations, titivations for my wrapping cloth for embroider, embellish create. Cross stitch has been embroidered onto a large piece of cotton cloth, cut up and painstakingly hemmed, forming strips to use as loops. You can also see prairie points and plain loops for embellishing and use in another task that wasn't addressed last week....the finishing of my last wrapping cloth.

Onwards and upwards Karen, onwards and upwards.

Im late today......sorry. I have been newslettering all morning and I'm still not finished. I have been making a video too. Then I was ironing cloth, ironing scrappy bits of edges, folding them neatly and putting them away. Then I took these pictures....last nights work. Another section joined and some dangly titivations added to a seam.

This afternoon I plan to continue newslettering.....It's looking more likely by the minute that embroider, embellish create will run again soon. Things will change slightly in terms of timing etc but more of that when I get the newsletter finished. It is quite hard to put an interesting newsletter together when you never leave the house and don't do anything. I may be able to find a wedding picture...not of me...but I am struggling I can tell you. Maybe I should make up a big adventure......oh and I am going to Blackpool soon to see the lights. Now that is news!
