this and that

My postman made me very happy this week as you can see in the first two images. I will have to come back from holiday more often. The other images are mostly holiday stitching and holiday purchases.....the bangles and necklaces will be cut up, the beads and sequins put to a much better use. I would much rather have those adorning my work than ''myself''.

this and that....

 

 

A few little bits of different stuff today.  I've been making puffs over at SS3. It's such a long time since I made any of these I had forgotten how appealing they can be. Then there are pouches, this one is barely started but I will work on it more now as the white on white pouch is finished. It's not completely finished but the surface embroidery is complete. Later today I will damp stretch it, then it will need to be backed before the edges are embellished. It will then be ready to wing its way to its new home.

Then there are doodles.....I bought new pens.....this is a little playtime exercise from yesterday, around an hour. I have a hankering to create some backgrounds.....

Finally a moan. I can't get on Facebook. I rebooted my internet. I rebooted my pc. I cleared my cache. It won't let me in. Am I banned? Who did I upset? Any idea of a fix anyone? So if I don't appear over there I am not ignoring you. I am sitting here weeping, wondering what I'm missing.

 

did this post publish to facebook??? I can't see anything on there....from my end it is giving the message that I am denied access to facebook. all my facebook feeds have red marks next to them indicating no access....please let me know if you see this over there.

I'm in a funny old frame of mind today, not sure what to do. I know what I should be doing but can't muster the will.....the motivation. The table has seen a lot of action whilst I have been dithering and flitting between various ''things''.

The main problem I have identified is the lack of cloth on these table pictures. Withdrawals.......I will piece cloth and then I will force myself to attend to the other things, the things that excite me less.

There are a few things going on at the moment. As I had to clean up after the decorator left yesterday I thought I should do some ''sorting out''. Consequently I found artwork that has been hidden for a while. Some of it was thrown away, other things I kept. This piece I am keeping. It's not that I think it's amazing or anything...it just has memories attached. The pocket (long thin piece on the right) is out because I was talking about it in class the other day. Last night I started adding web stitches to yesterdays cross stitch. I also made a few puffs in readiness for edging my white cloth. There was momentary panic too.....I have been talking about a plaid/gingham cloth for my white phobic brother. Then it dawned on me....doodle doo.....I have plans for that.....tea towels. When are they going to get started???? This weekend I will refresh my thinking re those...they are too important, they can't be forgotten. Neither can my festooned veil/thingy. Oh my, there has been and is so much going on here that I'm in danger if forgetting my own name.....
