two embroidery hoops

Some work in progress, two pieces of embroidery in hoops. One of these is tiny, the embroidered area measures 4 x 4 inches. That one is another page for my embroidered cloth book. The larger piece is an embroidered cover for a sketchbook and measures 9 x 4 inches. Neither of these is very big I know but I am not skimping on the stitch.  I'm aiming to create textured, rich and fascinating embellished surfaces. As you can see, I am having lots of fun with ribbon and trims too.
