You may already have gathered....I have a ''stash'', a vast amount of fabric scraps, torn papers, stitched papers. In truth I could probably go now and create four or five artist books using things I already have. It doesn't work like that though. I am conscious of repetition for a start. I wouldn't want to create four books with exactly the same contents and some of my ready made ''stash'' can be used elsewhere, perhaps on a small design sheet or a stitched sample so won't ever be wasted. Because of this, when I get the urge to mix papers I haven't played with before, or used together before I do it, adding to my stash and learning at the same time.
The same goes for pages. A page idea pops up, I do it. Putting together a finished artist book still takes time. Once the pages are stitched into the cover there is always more to add, more titivating which can be done, cramming....I like to cram.
The images today are from the playing and stitching with paper which happened yesterday. There's another page too. I shall just keep going like this until the urge to stitch the pages together grabs me and then the rest of the work will begin.
