I'm amassing quite a collection of these little stitched bits, samples, experiments. It must be nearly time to put some pages together and start adding these along with other little pieces of torn paper, beads, sequins, tiny buttons and cloth pieces.
It's surprising how many pieces you need to fill a little artist book and I'm guessing that despite my excitement at my growing collection I may still fall some way short.
These two pieces are mostly about the folded cloth, an edge of folded cloth and some folded ''rolled'' cloth secured with sequins. Those little rolled pieces are beautifully delicate ''in real life''.
Some of you may have noticed a new tab at the top of the page, ''Artist Book. Subscription only blog''. I have had many requests for this, for that format and subject for a new class. At the moment it's in the ''making notes'' stage, the planning. My current class ''studies in stitch'' is my priority at the moment along with the exciting pieces we are making in that group.
Going forward, the ''Artist Book'' subscription blog will run for a full year. Learning will be spread over the twelve months and will be very relaxed allowing me to create separate work and perhaps run mini classes alongside. I am aiming, trying to shake things up slightly. I am hoping to list the Artist Book subscription in the next few weeks so stay tuned if you are interested in that.
