One more thing ticked off the ''to do'' list. A white pouch with a top opening, prairie points and buttonhole lace edges. The red is quite stark against the white, I like it. This one is pieced mostly with vintage scraps, some more worn than others. If you look very closely when handling it you can see the evidence of it's past life in certain areas. I like that too.
I stuffed it with muslin when I took the pictures, it gave more body to the piece, allowed the top to stay open. I just noticed you can see that muslin in the last image. Oh well, it's new muslin, unused muslin and it's very clean honest.
This one is going in my cabinet now. It's going to be guarded and kept safe for London along with the other things I have made so far. Pillows, pockets, lace cloth, snippet cloth. This is the first pouch. There will only be two of those, I don't have enough time to make three. Time is marching on, only four weeks....yikes....I'm scared.
