These two pillow tops have now been extended. The piece on the right in this image now has a strip of Liberty fabric, attached to the original piece with covered piping cord along with three over sized Prairie points made from spotty cloth. The piping cord has been embellished with bullion knots. This one is finished. It just needs to be backed and stuffed before the edges are hand finished with embroidery.
The piece on the left in this image (the same image) now has a strip of covered piping cord extending across what was a plain piece of silk. Again, the cord is embellished with bullion knots and I have plans to add cross stitch to the open areas of silk. If all goes to plan I should have two finished pillows by the middle of the week ready to take to London.
For the rest of today I will be in ledger mode. That means ink and a pencil and most likely a lot of bad drawing and a lot of activity around the rubbish bin.
