My cloth appears to be gathering in my new white bowl. It reminds me of the bowl the vicar has when you go for Holy Communion with the pristine cloth draped over the side. Perhaps it's subconscious on my part in honour of the new Pope...not that I am Roman Catholic but I did get quite excited about the whole thing. I wanted to tell you the tale about this bowl but then I got onto the Pope and Communion and it could be a long drawn out bore for you already but anyway. My son is saving for his own house. Every week when I go to the supermarket I buy him a little something to take to his new house when he leaves. So far he has tea towels in abundance, pretty cleaning cloths (yes, I know he is a boy but his girlfriend will like them) cookie cutters, a pretty glass salad oil jug and last week I got him one of these bowls. When I got home I realised that I liked it a lot so back I went and bought myself one too. I doubt however that his bowl will be filled with embroidered white cloth when he leaves.
Sorry, I know you don't come here to read about my boring domestic stuff. Embroidery it is then. The piece on the left is for my wrapping cloth. The piece on the right will be something different altogether. A tiny diversion, a little gift for me. When it's finished you will be the first to see it. Back to bowls....SORRY....it's just that I have re read this and it would appear that I get myself a lot of gifts, a bowl and the other thing. I had better be on my my best behaviour then and in my defence I do have a weekend of housework planned. (well a couple of hours of housework anyway)
if the spacing of the images is all wrong then I apologise but typepad won't play nicely!
